Re: SooNews.ca Flickr Group
I know a few people who use Deviant Art for posting their photographs and they all seem to like it very much. I tried it once but I couldn't get used to the interface and I didn't like the search feature too much.
Flickr's search is extremely powerful but yes, it does make it easy for people to find and steal photographs. If someone needs to use a photograph for whatever reason, I'm sure that the first thing that they usually do is search flickr. People can steal your photographs from anywhere on the web though. If someone wants to steal a photograph off the web for their own use, they will. It doesn't really matter if they find the photo through flickr, deviant art, google images, or a personal website.

I requested this thread be unstickied weeks ago but the mod has left it sticky.
Re: SooNews.ca Flickr Group
As of today I am no longer with SooNews so this probably isn't going forward. If they want to start it up again they can but for obvious reasons I won't be doing it.
Thanks to everyone who submitted or enjoyed this feature.

It was fun while it lasted... thanks for setting that up. I hope that your departure from SooNews is a positive move forward for you.
Re: SooNews.ca Flickr Group
Thank you!! I hope whatever your future holds it is a good move and that it provides you many opportunities!
Re: SooNews.ca Flickr Group
Best of luck Ken. I never participated but I enjoyed viewing the photographs. I'm sure that you are going to be missed at Soonews.

Never participated either but crazy on leaving SooNews, you added some credibility to the photography on the site.

I wish them luck but it was time for me to leave. I doubt I'll be getting another news photographer job in this city. Looks like it's back to the 9-5!

Hey Ken - sorry to hear you won't be at SooNews - I really enjoyed your photo slideshows there - and the photos of the week were fun. Good luck on your move and hope we still see some of your good work on Flickr.

I did it, it just took me a while to find it to unsticky it.

Thanks admin.
Thanks Nana. Hopefully I can pull something out of my sleeve to keep doing this kind of thing in the future.
