The last few days King Mountain has been covered with a heavy frost and /or snowfall at the summit. There is now a marked snowshoe trail that
leaves the lodge and follows Stokely Creek with great shots along the way. About 1km from the lodge the trail heads out of the valley to the summit of King Mtn. with many views of Lk. Superior and the mountains to the north. Near the summit it may be covered with fresh snow, frost or ice.(never the same).
Well worth a trip before winter is over. The waterfalls and creek in the valley will get better as it gets warmer.
http://www.stokelycreek.com/ is the lodge website.

Enjoy, Bob

Hi Bob. Are the bears still in hibernation?

A friend of mine just assembled a nice 4x5 kit for photographing this type of thing and for portraits. Still needs a few things like a focusing hood and some lens boards. I'll pass on your suggestion.
