We are all aware of the benefits of exercise, but for college students who are stressed, overworked and over scheduled, finding the time to fit regular workouts into an already over booked schedule can seem all but impossible. With a little creativity, resourcefulness and a will to find a way, it is possible to incorporate exercise into your day regardless of how busy and over booked you are.

Here are some ideas that will help you get that exercise without ever having to go to the gym or go out of your way to get the exercise.

*Walk to class -

If you normally ride a bus to class, force yourself to leave early enough so you can walk to class. The walk will provide you with some brief exercise, fresh air and a chance to clear your mind. Walk home from class and you can double the exercise time. Make sure you are walking briskly enough to get your heart rate up. If you are carrying a backpack, the added weight will increase the cardiovascular benefits of your walks.

*Bike to class -

If you're in the habit of driving to class, ride your bike. It will give you exercise, keep you from having to spend money on gas, spend time looking for a parking space, and you'll get to exercise going to class and coming home. It may require a few more minutes than it would have taken to drive, but you'll get your exercise and save a lot of money in the process.

*Walk to all of your classes -

If you are used to catching a campus bus to go to a class that's in a building across campus, skip the bus and walk across campus. You can walk with your friends, get a chance to talk to them along the way and you'll all get some exercise in in the process. There was no need to go to the gym or schedule a formal workout time. Walk to the library or any other place you have to go on campus. If you replace your regular bus trips or car travel with walking or biking, you can get some perfectly effective exercise in without having to join a gym.

*Register for a gym class -

So you need an elective, and you don't want to take something that will require massive amounts of time or studying. Register for some class that will provide you with some exercise. Take tennis, racketball, strength training, Yoga, or anything else. Each time you go to this class, you will have gotten a workout in for the day. If the class meets three times a week, you've got some pretty good exercise in and you didn't have to go out of your way to do it.

*Get some exercise in on study breaks -

When you take a study break, get up and walk around. Spend five or ten minutes using hand weights to do some repetitions.or bicep curls or any other exercise. Go for a walk. If you are studying in the library, walk up and down the stairs to relieve stress and get some exercise.

*Go for a walk after lunch -

Take a few minutes to go for a walk after lunch. It's not anything that will cause a conflict in your schedule. You just have to plan your schedule to include that walk. Even if you only walk for 10 or 15 minutes, anything is better than nothing.

*Use the stairs -

Instead of taking elevators to upper floors in buildings where you have classes, or the library or anywhere else you go on campus, walk up and down the stairs. If you do it often enough, you will get a little bit of aerobic exercise without even having to spend the money to join a gym. It's something very easy to do and doesn't require money or equipment.

Even if you have a schedule that is so packed, you hardly have time to do anything except go to class and study, incorporating these small things into your daily schedule will provide you with some stress relieving exercise that is 100% free, and you don't have to take the time to go anywhere to do it. Figuring out how to incorporate exercise into your already very busy life isn't difficult to do. You simply have to be willing to make some minor changes that will result in bigger benefits in the long run.

There is money like this waiting for you to take it back. Don't assume that you are always getting the best deal, because sometimes you are not. Be creative and come up with ways to cut back on your expenses. After you purchase the item that you worked so hard to save for, keep up the good work just start putting that money into savings. When you lower that cell phone bill from $80 to $60, put the extra $20 in savings. You never knew that money was gone anyways. Retirement isn't instant and neither is paying off an unexpected medical bill, so try to be prepared. Companies will gladly take your money and they work hard at trying to find ways to do so. It is important to be a smart consumer, so that we do not end up just throwing our money out the window.
