The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
Thought we could get this started for a potential meet-up next week.
No Leica talk allowed!
What's good for all y'all?

Re: The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
My schedule could be anything at any point in the week (small business owner - I'm my own worst boss), so do like before and set a date and I'll try to make it.
Re: The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
I'm up for another meeting. I may be spending a few days down in Dearborn, MI next week because of another affliction. I haven't decided which days though. I'm not even sure if I'm going yet.
No Leica talk? What about Leica fondling?

ROAD TRIP!
Re: The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
I'm shooting Monday evening next week. Maybe wednesday too, but if not Wednesday evening would be best for me. I know leicas are off limits, but how about a 4x5. It would be a teaser as I'm not going to have any film until the week later. That said, no offense guys/gals, but I'm not going to be sharing my polaroids with anyone. Maybe some ilford sheets for the another meet up.
Re: The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
Does anyone have any medium format cameras they would like to show off. I'm going to be looking at getting a new outfit soon and would love some suggestions. The Blad I really want is not in my price range. I need some options.
Re: The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
I really must make it one of these days...seeing as though I don't even know what a Leica is. Hmmm. Must go Google that.
I work nights Tues/Wed/Thurs but other than that....lol.

VTML,
Read this article:
Candid Camera: The Cult of Leica.
I find the article quite conservative. The Leica experience is much better than the article leads you to believe.
I can bring my Arax. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who intends to use it for making money. Picture quality is spectacular, especially with the excellent P6-mount lenses available for it, but Soviet quality control is/was non existent. To be fair, the Soviet stuff was probably better than American-made 35mm and medium-format gear.

So Monday, then?
Re: The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
Whatever works for the majority. I'll catch up one of these days! Oh how I love being a shift worker.....
Re: The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
Well let's say Monday to start, seems like there isn't a lot of availability this week.
Re: The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
How long do you guys usually stick around -- I'm off at 7, can't promise anything because 7-7 is a long time of drone-dom.

Re: The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
Last time we were there from 6-9, but 2.5 hours of it was Nando talking about Leica cameras. He's not going to be there this week, so we'll probably only be there until 6:30
Re: The "Yet Another Meet-Up" Thread
Ken, I spent 2.5 hours waiting for you to give me back my Leica MP. I thought that I might as well talk about it while I waited.
Seriously though, one cannot underestimate or dismiss the importance of this camera. When it comes to talking about street photography, reportage or the history of photography as a whole, one cannot avoid talking about the Leica. Watch all 6 episodes of "The Genius of Photography" mentioned in the last meet-up thread and note how many times Leica is mentioned and used by the photographers featured. I don't even remember anyone in that series even uttering "SLArrrrrrrrrgh".

So how do we know how to find eachother? Everyone who has a feather in their hat is a part of the meet?
