Leica Legend, Al Kaplan passes away.
Al Kaplan passed away yesterday afternoon. Al was THE DEFINITIVE working photographer and a master of the ultra-wide angle lens. His character and sense of humour are unforgettable.
Al and I communicated a number of occasions during the last 3-4 years. He was always generous with his time and offered straight and honest advice, not being afraid to give me a (virtual) kick in the ass when I needed one. Al has left thousands of friends.
May he rest in peace.
