In France, 400+ glass plates negatives of WWI soldiers were found in a barn.

Interesting that the photo credits are the names of the people who found the photos, not "photographer unknown" or something like that.

I did not notice that. Perhaps its the case that the editor did not know usual convention. The two people mentioned did print the negatives, scanned the prints and performed restoration work on the scans.
