5D Mk ii Specs Leaked?

Looks great. 6 fps, 15.3 MP, full-frame, fully-weather sealed and the same ISO sensitivity as the D3.

I saw this on the DPreview site earlier today. It seems like every other week a new "leaked specs" report is out. I've been waiting for this camera for a bit to see what it offers and hope I can afford/justify getting it etc. I want to move to full frame and keep my current 20D as a backup but if it keeps being delayed and not moving I may just jump to the 40D -- possibly get the first gen 5D but not sure on that one yet either.

I've seen 1st gen 5D's going for about $1500 Canadian, which is a steal.

A friend of mine uses the 5D and gets some amazing results.

Yeah I've been watching the price on Amazon for a bit, $2199 new which isn't bad either. I'm still thinking of when I bought my 20D, the 50 1.8 and the Tamron 28-75 and it came to $2700 so seeing some of these cameras "that low" doesn't seem "too much" for me. It's just crazy how prices have dropped on things over the past couple of years. For example, you can pick up a 40D body for just over $1000.

Yah, I think a big part of it was Nikon and Canon were the only games in town. Once serious competition came from Pentax, Olympus, Panasonic, and Sony/Minolta the prices just crashed.

The Rebel XT was $1299 with kit lens when I bought mine, which is just crazy.

I feel that prices are still too high since these things are essentially disposable commodities and depreciate in value faster than a rock falling out of a sky.
