Can anyone help me?

I need a Digital8 video camera to get some footage off an old tape. It's a dead format that used Hi-8 tapes but records on them in digital format. My camera was stolen when I lived in Toronto a few years back.

I would need to borrow it for an afternoon and if you want to be present that's fine. Charge a modest rental fee if you have to, I am pretty desperate.

Any help is appreciated.

Are these the ones with little tapes? If so I have one you can borrow. No fee of course just as long as it gets returned, which I'm sure it would.

digital8 was a competing format with miniDV, which won out. It has the really small tapes and is the kind of camera I have now. The digital8 format uses Hi-8 and digital8 tapes.

I'd appreciate it if you have it, I could always trade you something in the short term as collateral.

Mine says miniDV on it, so I'm guessing wrong format. I know nothing about camcorders lol. I would have replied sooner but I forgot all about it too.

Thanks for thinking of me, I found out last night that I may be able to borrow one from a friend of a friend so hopefully it works out.
