FS: Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX for Canon
I have made a difficult decision to sell my Sigma 30mm f/1.4. I have 2 Canon bodies but this only works on my Rebel XT, which I don't use as much. It vignettes on my 1D because it's made for the smaller sensor on the Rebel, Rebel XT, Rebel XTi, 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, etc.
If you like the Canon 50mm f/1.8 you will love this lens. It's very sturdy, not plastic and gives you a wider view. I found it really useful shooting concerts when I can get close. I have a Canon 50mm f/1.4 that is in for repair and need to sell this to pay for it and buy a new voice recorder.
This lens sells for $550 + Tax at Camera Craft ($620 total) and $529 + Tax at Henry's ($597 total + shipping)
Mine has some rubbing on the outside from normal use, but the glass is perfect. It includes back cap, front cap and hood. I am asking $400 or best offer.
Send me a personal message through this site for enquiries or a test drive.
Also look at the reviews on Fred Miranda for the good and bad. It's not for everybody but the majority give it a 9 or 10 out of 10. I find this site to be my favorite for reviews because they are usually well balanced.

I'm really surprised there's no interest in this, considering how many here use Canon SLR's. I would have thought someone would at least have tried the test drive. Who doesn't want to play with a new lens for free?
I guess this is going to eBay. Thanks for looking.

Perhaps it should be mentioned that the Canon 35mm f/1.4 goes for over $1000.

I just don't have any cash in the budget for a new lens at the moment or else I would have been interested. Need to use my current gear as much as possible now before any new equipment comes in. I know it may have come in handy last night but then again I still haven't gone through my shots yet so I can't be positive.

Ken,
You might want to consider listing it on RFF. I bet it would sell. You know, we rangefinder guys are obsessed with available light and fast glass even if the lens is for an SLarrrrrgh.

I "found" a little extra money to pay off my 50mm repair so I might keep this.
Let me know if you ever want to do a short-term swap, cujo.
