I though you might appreciate this one Fernando.... there IS something really satisfying about mixing two passions.


I'm not 100% happy with the angle of the shot. I was thinking higher maybe, though I didn't want to lose the scoop. C&C would be appreciated. After staring at the image for 4 hours last night, i'm not sure what I'm seeing now.

If you look at commercial photographs of still automobiles from the late-60's to the early 1980's, the majority of them are taken at a 3/4 view but at a high view point - perhaps 2-3 feet above eye-level. Generally, automobiles are designed to be appealing from a view at eye-level. That's why cars that look stunning in person sometimes look a bit awkward in photographs taken at certain angles.

The Torino is a special car for Ford fans that are also into NASCAR. Both Ford and Chrysler pulled out of NASCAR at the end of 1970 in reaction to new regulations. Drivers' safety is often sited by NASCAR as the reason for the changes but it was probably had more to do with preventing the manufactures from running the show.
