Kodachromes in Canada
I just got back my last roll of Kodachrome film with a note attached that the Qualex lab which ships K64 from Canada to the US is closing and they will not accept them any more. I knew it was coming but this is pretty sad.
There is only one lab in the world that still processes them and for now they are still in business but this is a huge blow... the hub that sent for Eastern (all of?) Canada has ceased operation and I doubt that many customers will ship their own.
To put it in perspective Qualex is the lab that sent them for Wal-Mart and many other large retailers.

Qualex is closing their labs in the US too. This ends send-out film developing by Kodak; a service that was available since the company's founding.
I bet there will be price increase for K64 development at Dwayne's.

Here's some of my last batch... just me and my friends picking up Chinese food in Barrie back in February.
