I didn't realize that you posted this earlier. I deleted my duplicate post about the event.

Make sure not to miss the documentaries on Larry Towell and Abbas!!!!

The Larry Towell documentary was very good. It provided some very good insight into Towell and also photography. I took his Robert Capa reference to heart - "Like people and let them know it." People should know this when you photograph them. Towell reflects that Capa did not distance himself from his subjects physically nor emotionally and another thing was that he liked people. I also really loved the film Towell made while being driven around Gaza - that little girl caught by his video camera running with the car - How beautiful was that? I hope everyone had a chance to watch it.

Did anybody record it? I had it set to record but the time on my PVR was off and didn't start recording on time. By the time I realized it, it was 1/2 into the program. So I only recorded the end. According to the Bravo website, there won't be another airing this month. Sad

I missed the first 10 minutes because my PVR is something that connects to my computer and I had it unplugged.

I had actually seen this documentary before, I was hoping it would be new to me but I was happy to see it again.

It was the first time I saw it. I very much enjoyed it as Larry Towell may be my favourite Canadian photographer. He's in a virtual tie with George S. Zimbel from Montreal for the top spot in my heart and mind.
